Founded in 1946, the Shinko Group began as a manufacturer of bicycle tires and tubes in Osaka, Japan. Over the decades, the company has grown into a respected global producer of high‑quality rubber products.

In 1998, Shinko expanded into the motorcycle tire market by acquiring tire molds and technology from Yokohama Rubber Co. Drawing on Japanese engineering and design expertise, combined with South Korean manufacturing and rigorous quality control standards, Shinko has built a reputation for reliable, performance‑driven tires. Today, Shinko produces approximately 200,000 motorcycle tires each month.

In the United States, Shinko Tires are imported by Western Power Sports, Inc. (WPS), headquartered in Boise, Idaho. With a strong presence in the powersports industry and multiple distribution centers nationwide, Shinko Tires USA, together with WPS, proudly delivers a full range of sportbike, cruiser, scooter, off‑road, and dual‑sport tires to riders across the country.
